Will my insurance cover my prescription?

Unfortunately, we do not contract with any insurance company’s directly and cannot bill them. We can give you a prescription claim form that you may send in to your prescription insurance company and request reimbursement. The claim form will include information about King Pharmacy Topeka and the prescription itself. You just need to fill out your personal information on the form, sign and date, then mail to your prescription insurance company and they will send any reimbursement back to you.

How many days will compounding take?

Times vary for finishing a product due to the unpredictability of patient needs. We work hard to make sure your script is compounded as soon as possible. Before weekends and holidays will result in the most busy times. In normal weeks with ample warning, a product will most likely be made in two business days. 

How much will my prescription cost?

To attain the price of a prescription, we will need the name of the drug, strength, and quantity. Estimates can be given, but may change if any of the information about the medication varies. Overall, the best way to find out the price of your medication is to have us take a look at your written prescription.

I Am Interested in Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), Where Do I Start?

There are several ways you can go about obtaining BHRT for yourself. If you have a provider willing to prescribe BHRT but lacks experience in accessing a patient’s hormone related symptoms, then you could schedule a paid consultation with one of our pharmacists who are trained in BHRT. While visiting with you the pharmacist will evaluate your symptoms and medical history and based upon this information write up a recommendation for your prescribing provider. Your provider will evaluate the information, and if they agree will then respond with a prescription.

If you have a provider or find a provider that is well versed in BHRT, you can schedule an appointment with them to evaluate your symptoms and can send a BHRT prescription to our pharmacy. Once received, we will call you to let you know the price of the medication prior to making it.
